Limericks! We’ve all seen them. Scrawled on the bathroom wall, spray-painted on buildings, and even written in dust on my rear windshield. That one was written in loopy, finger-width letters that wiggled in the end. We can only assume the generous author had collapsed into giggles.

Inside the Author's Head-- James C. Gillen PDF Print E-mail

He's a hunter with a chip on his shoulder the size of Orlando.  He does his job, no matter who or what stands in his way.  He faces paranormal creatures bent on destroying him and barely breaks a sweat.

He also gets sent to anger management therapy.

Meet Paul Isaac, hero of the upcoming novel Tortured Skin, a vampire hunter working to rid the city of the undead--even though the vamps are a protected species and quite the tourist attraction.  Following the trail of a potential serial killer, Paul finds himself between a fang and a hard place--help the monsters he loathes, or let their poison turn him into one of them.

Author James C. Gillen describes his debut novel as, "...a white knuckle ride in a world where vampires not only exist, but are protected as historical artifacts, own businesses, and can be your next door neighbor."

Sitting down with James, I got to grill him on what I'm calling Vampire Noir

In the spirit of Karen's blog post about free E-Books, I wanted to share the bounty of free Audio books, and other great library resources. It's very simple to get access to this (small but growing) treasure trove of reader's favorites. Many libraries around the Central Florida area and beyond are moving to "Virtual Library" systems.

Visit your local library for more information or check out the links below.
